Bill O’Neill is a Vietnam veteran, Bronze Star recipient, retired Lieutenant Colonel, registered nurse, and former Ohio Supreme Court Justice.
He’s been a reporter, a union organizer, a judge, and a frontline nurse.
He’s cared for sick children in the ER, defended the Constitution from the bench, and led soldiers in combat.
Now, at 78, Bill O’Neill says the fight for America’s soul isn’t over — and he’s not done fighting for Ohio.
On The Issues
Bill O’Neill believes our current healthcare system is failing Americans by prioritizing insurance profits over people’s lives and well-being. The high-overhead, debt-inducing, and chaotic private insurance model is unfair. Medicare for All offers a straightforward constitutional solution to ensure guaranteed, quality healthcare for every citizen.
To secure Ohio’s future, we must champion innovation that delivers both economic growth and environmental stewardship. By expanding the RTA Red Line and solarizing government buildings, we can create good-paying green energy jobs while reducing pollution and traffic for our communities.
Bill is running for Congress in OH District 14 on a “No Money from Nobody” platform. The influence of campaign contributions, stemming from Citizens United, has fundamentally corrupted government. Bill pledges to personally fund his campaign and accept no donations to prove this congressional seat “is no longer for sale to the highest bidder,” ensuring that his focus remains solely on the people he serves.
